Maintaining Mental Health during Corona Virus Outbreak

Think Positive

It is very crucial to maintain good mental health during this difficult time of Corona Virus Outbreak.

The current scenario of social distancing is leading to many types of mental hazards.

At the immediate front, the enforced lock down at home is generating a feeling of mental pressure of ‘not moving out’ leading to a claustrophobic feeling.

Acceptance of the situation and adjusting and acclimatizing to it can be a very good strategy to cope with the LOCK DOWN FEELING.

In this existing situation of maintaining social distance due to corona virus outbreak, try these mental strategies.

  • Accept that this situation is temporary BUT essential as a prevention of further transmission.
  • By remaining inside your home you are contributing towards safety of self, your near and dear ones and the whole society in general.

So, What a Vital Role you have to play in the prevention process!!!

You, by not getting infected, are saving so many, who are likely to get infected through you.

The probable social chain begins from your home encompassing a whole social strata around you.

  • So Accept, social distancing “Acchhi Strategy hai” (is a good strategy), is for our benefit.

This acceptance will immediately relieve you of the claustrophobic feeling of being locked inside home.

  • Next, think positively,
  •  “I am getting a good opportunity to be with my loved ones who are totally safe from the deadly Virus outside home”.

What a mental relief!!!

  • We are together, safe and healthy only due to the compulsion of staying at home.
  • Rest everything (which includes financial planning) can be easily sorted out, once the situations are normal.

  • Add Some more positive thoughts
  • Social distancing is family togetherness so I am going to enjoy every moment of this relaxed time without any official work pressure.  This is truer for those who are not working from home.
  • Those working from Home can be thankful to the tech savvy system which is allowing them to continue working in this situation of closure.

Everyone can think Positive!!!

  • Moreover, Plan some individual time also. There are so many things which you keep postponing because of the tight daily monotonous schedule,
  • So, take time to relax both mentally and physically.

This will allow you to bounce back with vigour when you have to revert to the Normal routine.

These positive Thoughts will permit you to acclimatize with the situation of, ‘being at home for some time’ and not ‘locked at home’.

So, Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Mentally Relaxed

Along with this always remember to keep on thanking and blessing those Health Workers who are continuously working to keep us safe. May God keep them all safe and healthy.

Also bless and thank their family, who may always be anxious for them but are Magnanimous enough to allow them to work for social cause and not tie them at home.
